John and Katharina  B a r k e r

Katharina is an established designer and lifestyle consultant with over 25 years experience. Born in Munich and widely acknowledged in Germany as an expert in her field, she has published countless articles and given expert advice in the media. Her natural talent for practical and affordable design, her German attributes for quality and service, coupled with her ability to “bring out the best” in each of her clients individual surroundings, is the very basis of her continuing success. Her clientele frequently commend her unequalled ability to help them drastically change their lifestyle by accomplishing their own personal design dreams and visions. It is therefore not surprising that she has often been asked to follow up with further lifestyle training courses such as business etiquette, cooking and entertaining house guests, as well as personal style and image development. Katharina commutes regularly between her offices and clients on the continent, and her domicile in England, where she now lives with her husband John.

John is a corporate entertainment executive and first met Katharina when he commissioned her to design his house and garden in Germany. They married shortly after, and although he still remains true to the entertainment industry, his passion for design prompted him to join his wife in J&K Interior and Exterior Design as her business partner.
